We pitched the concept of marketing the merino moccasin as boat shoes, creating a story that emphasized their perfect fit for boating. To bring this to life, we shot aboard two private yachts of our friends at the Cape Town Yacht Club.
Concept: From Moccasins to Boat Shoes
With international models experienced in boating, we showcased the merino moccasins in their natural habitat—on deck. Even the yacht owners were impressed with the shoes! While they were a bit tricky to close, we provided design input, leading to improvements in the final product. This concept, which Giesswein hadn’t initially considered, now positions the moccasins as the ideal boat shoes.
